The Mozart Players group begins Oct. 4

The first rehearsal for the Mozart Players is Tuesday, October 4 at 5:15 pm.

Parent Meeting on opening night

The annual parent meeting on opening night will briefly provide information about SYSA's 57th season.

Parents will meet in the choir room, which is just down the hallway and around the corner from the rehearsal rooms.

TO ENROLL: you can bring your Emergency Contact form, Enrollment Form, and $25 to enroll, or you can mail these to us.

Volunteer opportunities at Jump Start

1) Load rental truck at North Salem High School (map) with percussion and stands at 1:45 pm.
2) Reload truck at 7:00 pm with stands, percussion after rehearsals at Kroc Center.
3) Unload truck at North HS while the students are enjoying the recreation time at Kroc Center.

Mr. Garrett and Mr. Harris-Clippinger would appreciate any help.

And you can fulfill your volunteer hours before the first rehearsal!

Arrive by 3:45 to be ready with instrument at 4:00

4:00 - 5:15 -grand reading of music

Youth Symphony - Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite,

movements from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet

Philharmonia - Academic Festival Overture, March of the Toys

5:15 - 5:45 - dinner ($6)

5:45 - 7:00 - historical background/music reading

7:00 - 9:00 - your choice of swimming, rock wall, gym, computer room

- cafe will be open for you to purchase snacks

- families are welcome to join in the fun!

1.) The Kroc Center must have a signed day-use waiver for you to participate in recreational activities.

2.) The rock wall requires an additional rock wall waiver.

3.) RSVP your choice of sandwich by Tuesday, September 13 - order form here or here

Reserve your place! Your return of the day-use waiver by mail or email tells us you plan to attend this incredible day!

The cost for the event is covered by SYSA except for the $6 sandwich dinner.

Don't miss the excitement of the first reading of the winter concert music with your full orchestra!
