Philharmonia & Youth Symphony

Concerto Competitions

Our annual SYSA concerto competition:

    The form is due December 8, 2012

    The competition will be held January 26, 2013.  Free and open to the public.

Our "Playing Tests" will be this Tuesday night, October 30.  Please come prepared on the excerpts your section leader gave you.  

You will tested  on:  

Correct Notes, Good Intonation and Tone Quality, Correct Rhythms, Dynamics, Correct Bowings, and Bowing Style (staccato, bouncing bow, legato, etc).
